Many countries are facing significant long-term challenges. Australia is no exception. An ageing and growing population will result in increased health and retirement costs.

Is our retirement system ready for the challenges ahead? A number of reviews into our retirement system have recently been completed with significant changes being recommended. What are these changes, what are their impacts and how will they improve the system?  Hans will attempt to demystify the complex world of the Australian retirement system in light of these recommendations.

About Hans

Hans van Daatselaar is the Manager, Strategy and Policy at Superpartners.

Hans’ primary role is to translate superannuation trends and proposed policy changes and determining their impact on Superpartners’ business and its clients.

Hans joined Superpartners in July 2007 following a successful career with Mercer Human Resource Consulting where he became a Principal in 2003. Hans held senior management positions in both superannuation administration and relationship management for 20 years.

 Hans is a member of the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees (AIST) Policy Committee and the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA) eCommerce sub Committee.  He is also ASFA’s representative on the swimEC Council and a member of the Superannuation Exchange Affiliation (or SEA) Management Team. 

 Hans has a Diploma of Superannuation Management, a Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) and is a Fellow of the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia.

On behalf of the NCCA Board it is our great pleasure to invite you to the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce Australia’s biannual flagship event.

As the highlight amongst this year’s NCCA events, the 2010 Orange Ball is taking place at Crown on 22 October 2010.  This exclusive high profile formal event will start at 6.30 pm and run till midnight

The 2010 Orange Ball presents to you:

  • Dutch Executive Chef Marc van Gulick and Sous Chef Geert-Jan Vaartjes from well-known Bilderberg Estate Lauswolt, situated in Beetsterzwaag, Friesland.   Marc and Geert will be flown to Australia exclusively for this event and will create for you an exciting four course meal with 'a touch of Dutch'.  Exclusively for one night only!
